It is truly an honor to have you on my site; let me be the first to welcome you and introduce myself. My name is Anne Silliman and (as you may have assumed), I am the founder of Anne Dunavant Design. I have spent the last three years helping aspiring entrepreneurs fulfill their new-venture dreams by running growth-stage incubators, developing educational programming, and mentoring both students and postgraduate founders in my role as the Campus Manager for The Hill Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Furman University.
While you may be thinking to yourself, “How does the world of entrepreneurship have anything to do with design”, I would argue that my experience working with founders kickstarted my interest in graphic design, marketing, and brand strategy in a way I would have never assumed. I spent my days as an undergraduate student at Furman studying psychology, continuously fascinated by the aspect of “why” we so often find ourselves questioning when creating a brand. It is the same question of “why” that landed me in the Master of Arts in Strategic Design program in the same school I have come to know so well.
Today I find myself immersed in the pursuit of “why”, seeking to understand and enhance a solution-based structure that is designed for purpose and innovation rather than aesthetics alone. I would be thrilled to have you look through my projects and let me know your thoughts. Oh - as I said above - I really would like to be friends!
